Year 4 and 5 Trip to the Lion King

Monday 17 October 2016

On 12th October 2016 the children in Year 4 and Year 5 enjoyed a visit to the Lyceum Theatre in London to watch the magnificent stage performance of 'The Lion King'. After performing their own version of 'The Lion King' last term, the children were mesmerised by the talent and skill not only by the actors but also the orchestra, choreographers and designers of sets, props, costumes and lighting.  They thoroughly enjoyed singing along to their favourite songs that they had learnt in last year’s performance.  The pupils’ behaviour was impeccable and the children were particularly respectful towards others when travelling during the busy rush hour on the journey back to school, which was commented on by members of the public.

"It was joyful, creative, imaginative and well performed." Stella (Year 4)

"The tunes were really good and there were fireworks which was exciting." Aya (Year 4)

"I think the Lion King was very good.  It was a great enactment of the movie and the actors were really good." Joe W (Year 5)

"I liked the actors who had good voices as welll as great confidence on stage." Massimba (Year 5)
