Dahl Class trip to the London Museum
As part of their Challenge topic this half term, Dahl Class have been answering the question ‘Are buildings better now than they were in 1666?’ In order to support their learning, Class 2 went on a trip to the London Museum to visit a special exhibition called ‘Fire Fire!’ which explains many aspects of the Great Fire of London. They had the opportunity to use real life equipment people used in 1666 to help battle the fire! Before they went the pupils learnt some basic facts about the topic and created a timeline of events.
"I enjoyed putting on the fire fighter costume from 1966." Tarka
"I feel really sad because thousands of Londoners lost their homes." Ayssar
They learnt so much that they couldn't stay awake on the train home!
